Plant Tissue Culture and Biotechnology (PTC&B) is the official organ of Bangladesh Association for Plant Tissue Culture & Biotechnology (BAPTC&B). The journal publishes original research papers and short communications on plant cell, tissue culture, plant biotechnology and related fields such as genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics etc. Each volume of the journal comprises two issues published in June and December every year. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The journal has proved a regional publishing medium for scientists of the Indian subcontinent, the South East and the Middle East countries, Africa to publish their plant tissue culture, biotechnology and molecular biology related research findings. For the articles of this journal Double-blind peer review process is followed. After receiving the electronic copy of the manuscript the articles are mailed to selected reviewer (selected by the Editorial Board) without the name and affiliation of the authors. Receiving the comments from the reviewer/s the decisions about its publication are communicated to the corresponding author. Since 2002 the journal has been publishing articles online and full articles are now accessible free of cost to browsers in the Association's website (http://www.baptcb.org).
